All Star Pride offers a wide range of cheerleading programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels within a fun atmosphere. Our cheer gym family has grown quickly over the last several years to become home to the South Island's top competitive all star cheerleading teams. Recreational teams

We offer recreational teams designed to give each athlete an opportunity to gain experience and confidence in all of the different areas of cheer. Pride recreational teams do not travel but prepare for credentialling (like grade exams) at the end of each season. Recreational teams also provide a pathway to entry onto Pride competitive teams by teaching the foundation skills required.

Elite teams

We form all of our elite (competitive) teams at our annual November/December tryout. We will be looking for athletes who demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Tryouts are done in a fun and easy-going environment. Anything athletes wanting to join need to know they will be taught, no prior experience is necessary. Athletes will be evaluated according to the USASF/IASF level guideline system. Athletes will be placed on a team based on tumbling, jumps, stunts (USASF level 1-5), possible stunt group combinations, age and time/financial commitment preferred.
