About Us
When It All Began
All Star Cheerleaders was founded by Kimberley Ramsay in 1999. Leaving a successful legal practice, Kimberley saw an opportunity at the North Harbour Stadium to provide the Harbour NPC Rugby team with a cheerleading squad. She spoke to the management at Harbour Rugby and sold them on a real American style cheer team that incorporated stunts, pyramids, tumbling, cheers and chants... and All Star Cheerleaders was born!
A Young Girl's Dream ...
However, the dream to have a cheerleading team started many years before that. At age 10 she was given 2 sets of pom poms by her mother (who had bought them on an overseas trip) and from that day dreamed of becoming a cheerleader with a team of her very own.
Our Very First Junior Team
In 2000 All Star Cheerleaders started its first junior cheerleading team with 11 students at Whenuapai School - that year they performed at their school gala and the Queen St Santa Parade.
All Star Grows
All Star Cheerleaders has since grown to be the biggest cheerleading school in the Southern Hemisphere. We have branches in North, West, East and Central Auckland, as well as Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. All Star has also developed a brand new Elite Training Programme with 5 New Zealand Representative Teams. These teams train and compete overseas annually, including representing New Zealand at the Cheerleading World Champs and the ICU World Cup!!!

Supporting Our National Sports Teams
All Star Cheerleaders can now be seen at all of the NZ Breakers home games!
Our teams have also cheered for: Diamonds Netball, North Harbour NPC Rugby, Harbour Heat Basketball, Waikato Pistons Basketball, Fuji Force Netball, Knights Soccer, NZ Kiwi League team, NZ Maoris, Tall Blacks, Silver Ferns and many other sporting teams.
We have also had the great opportunity to perform for a wide variety of events including: Coca-cola Christmas in the Park, What Now, Farmers Santa parade, Waikato Times Christmas Parade, MC Saatchi, Vodafone, Lions vs. AB's Tests, Jump Rope for heart, ASB Beach Volleyball and much, much more!
