Another WORLD class coach to the All Star Family
We are very excited to welcome another top American coach Matt Thomason, who has an extensive cheerleading and tumbling background, to the All Star family. You can check out some awesome videos of Matt on our website www.allstarcheerleaders.co.nz in the videos section. Matt will be taking over Alex’s classes and will be an awesome addition to All Star, we wish him all the best for his stay in NZ!
TV TV TV
Well done to all the cheerleaders who have been seen performing on TV this month. A team of cheerleaders performed on an episode of Sticky which you can check out on the following link http://www.stickytv.co.nz/Fri5th.html the team looked awesome and we are very proud. As well as this success we had a team perform in the city for the Kids Can Telethon which was screened live on TV3, also, for the kids can telethon the East Ponyz were very busy performing at the Police blue light disco at Rainbows End on Friday and then at Botany Telethon on Saturday. Well Done girls!!
BoyZone
All Star is proud to offer our boys the first cheerleading gymnastic class in the country specifically designed for boys only.
Here you can work on your elite tumble skills without the requirements that other elite tumble classes have. We are offering this class at an amazing earlybird price for term three only at $70 for the term. Classes are on Saturdays from 12-1pm and will have use of our amazing tumble track! All Star possibly OFFICIAL World record holders??
On the 25th of July, All Star cheerleaders attempted to fit 24 Cheerleaders into a mini for a new TV show being screened on tv shortly. The day was lots of fun and was kicked off with an amazing cheer performed by Team NZ. As well as this All Star is also attempting to break another world this weekend and it’s to do with CHEERLEADING! To find out what it is and to see if All Stars broke the records stay tuned to your TV for the next couple of months we will let you know what day and time to watch!!
All Star Win Again for the 10th time at the Down Under Spirit Championships in Gold Coast, Aussie
The Eastern Coltz team have won at the Down Under Spirit Championships making All Star unbeatable for 5 consecutive years!!!!! The team left for Aussie on the 24th of June with high hopes of championship glory and took Gold in their division bringing home another 1st place trophy!! Well done girls and boys!!!
Credentialing a Great Success!
Big congratulations to all girls and boys who attended our credentialing on Sunday 5th of July. The day was a huge success with cheerleaders coming from all over Auckland to be tested and gain more levels for their cheer licenses! Well done to all the girls who had never attended credentialing before! You all did an amazing job and all coaches were thoroughly impressed with all the talent that we saw over the day!

Eastern Bays bring back the POM!
Eastern Bays is starting a new senior pom team for girls aged 11+ which will train on Saturdays from 12pm-1pm. This team will have opportunities to not only compete at competitions, performance opportunities and parades but will also be used for the Auckland Star basketball team home games in 2010 and may also Travel! If you would like to join, give Eastern Bays office a call on 948 5109.
Spring Carnival Date Confirmed
Spring Carnival date has now been confirmed and will be being held on Sunday 13th of September. Teams should be getting there routines ready and gearing up for yet another awesome cheerleading event with teams confirmed from all over the country!! Uniforms will need to be ordered the first week back to cheerleading so make sure you are prepared! If you have any questions regarding the competition feel free to ask your coach or call us in the office on 0800 CHEERLEADER.
Wellingtons Time To Shine
The Wellington All Stars have had alot of exciting events happening over the last couple of weeks!! On July 26th they had the Friends and Family Day which was in conjunction with the Capital Gymnastics Performance Team.
Both teams performed separately and then performed in a combined tumbling routine at the end. An awesome success!! As well as this amazing performance, the girls have were also booked to perform at the NZ Home Loans corporate event celebrating a milestone within the company!! The girls performed a short routine and entertained the crowd with an exciting cheer congratulating the company! The company was absolutely amazed with what the cheerleaders did and they said ‘the team made the night’. Awesome work Wellington!!

Gym Update
We are very excited to be say that we have now re located to our new gym in Archers road. The new gym is now fully up and running with an onsite cheer shop and uniforms for your convenience! To add to the excitement, our much anticipated tumble track is here!! RL spent an entire day setting it up and it is ready for action! We can’t wait to see our cheerleaders improve with this awesome piece of equipment!!!!
Term Three Classes
Term Three classes are now in swing. All Teams should be working on your competition routines for Spring Carnival. Remember if you are going to be absent you must let us know so that we can let your coach know so you don’t lose your position in your routine. Also fees should be fully paid now. If you haven’t paid please ensure you do at your next class or you will be asked to sit out of cheerleading until you do. For payment options just call our office anytime between 9am-4.30pm on 0800 CHEERLEADER!
Christchurch Introduce the TINKERBELLZ
Christchurch are proud to announce the creation of their first all girl junior elite team. The Tinkerbellz comprise of 20 girls aged 5-11 years who are very excited to have made their first elite team! The girls are already working hard to prepare for their debut at Internationals and we look forward to seeing what they’ve got!!
Eastern Bays Holiday Programme
All Star Cheerleaders Eastern Bays are running a Holiday Cheer Program during the first Week of the September School Holidays 28th – 30th September at the ASB Stadium Small Gym Kohimarama. This will be a fun; organised program aimed at helping Beginner Cheerleaders through to Level 3 Cheerleaders with their Syllabus Work, Team Building and will incorporate working with Poms. The Program will run for Three Days from 8.45am till 1.00pm each day and will cost $35.00 per day per Student. If you are interested in this please contact Eastern Bays on 948 5109.
